Dmitri Golberg
Dmitri Golberg is a Distinguished Professor of Queensland University of Technology (QUT), a Head of QUT “Inorganic Nanomaterials” Laboratory within the Faculty of Science and School of Chemistry and Physics, and an Australian Research Council (ARC) Laureate Fellow. He is one of the most cited world materials scientists working in Australia. In 2019 and 2021 Dmitri was included into top-five most established materials scientists of the country by “The Australian” edition. He is an eminent pioneer of global research in two specific fields: fabrication and structural analysis of inorganic nanomaterials with a particular emphasis on nano-boron nitride – the material which makes possible “shining” of graphene physical properties when the latter is put on the former in a sandwich-like configuration; and development and implementation of new techniques of transmission electron microscopy for analysis of electromechanical, thermal and optoelectronic properties of nanostructures – so called in situ/operando microscopy.
