Kerstin Volz is a full professor for experimental physics at Philipps-University Marburg since 2009. She received her diploma and PhD in physics from Univ Augsburg in 1996 and 1999. After research visits in Japan, a postdoctoral stay at Stanford and a guest professorship in Berlin, she was appointed as a professor in Marburg. She currently serves as spokesperson of the Collaborative Research Center “Structure and Dynamics of Internal Interfaces and heads the Materials Sciences Center there. She received several awards among them the prestigious Greve price of the Leopoldina in 2022.
