Kazuo Yamamoto
Group Leader, Japan Fine Ceramics Center (JFCC), Japan
Kazuo Yamamoto obtained his PhD from graduate school of electronics in Nagoya University, Japan, in 2000. He is currently a group leader of Electron Microscopy Informatics group in Japan Fine Ceramics Center (JFCC). His research fields are in situ/operando observations of functional materials, such as semiconductor, magnet, and battery materials, using advanced transmission electron microscopy, especially electron holography and electron energy-loss spectroscopy. He is interested in the electro-chemical relationship between electric potential and Li distributions around the electrode/solid-electrolyte interfaces in all-solid-state batteries. To clarify the relationship, his group has been currently developing a new in situ/operando transmission electron microscope combined with machine learning technique.
