Haydee Hernandez-Aviña

Graduated with a degree in Computer Science from the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos, with a thesis on the parallelization of a super-resolution algorithm at the National Laboratory of Advanced Microscopy (LNMA-IBT-UNAM). She completed her master's degree in Optics at the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics, and Electronics (INAOE), where she worked on the reconstruction of microscopy images in scattered media. She obtained her doctorate from the Graduate Program in Computer Science and Engineering at UNAM, with her project focused on the analysis and classification of the beating patterns of sperm flagella using 3D+t imaging. She is a founding partner of Educaciencia and is currently undertaking a postdoctoral stay at LNMA-IBT-UNAM as part of the project "Advancing Bioimaging Core Services with Artificial Intelligence," funded by the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
